Ian Carlisle joined The League in its third season, looking to utilize The League as a launching pad for a professional career in other wrestling promotions.  At first glance, this would appear to be a bad decision, as his first three seasons would net losing records (including a last-place finish in Season Four).  However, whether through the guidance of Ben Stanton or just things gelling together, Carlisle surprised a lot of people in Season Six by achieving his first winning record and playoff appearance.  While said playoff appearance was a one-and-done, he had set a precedent for himself that he would use to further his career, whether in The League or elsewhere....

 

Carlisle holds high popularity in the UK (mainly in the South and Midlands), and also has appeal in the South West US.  Mexico and Europe are the lone regions in which he has a winning record (3-2).
